"I was born and raised in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Actually, we lived about three miles outside of town, in the middle of rural farmland. It was a great place to grow up. I was able to spend a large part of my childhood running around the fields, exploring the woods, and falling in the numerous streams in the area. I have a sister a year younger than myself, a brother who is three years younger, and another sister eight years younger. I just met my older half-brother from my Father's first marriage a few years ago. We never knew he existed until then. He's a great guy, a wonderful brother, and I wish he had been part of my life all along. As far as I can remember, we had a storybook childhood.
In 1979, I enlisted in the United States Air Force. I spent 16 years in Air Force Intelligence as a Cryptologist Linguist (Russian and Spanish), and as an Intelligence Analyst and Reporter. I was stationed in Monterey, California; Texas; Athens, Greece; Nebraska; Key West, Florida; Panama City, Panama; Honduras, and Arizona. The number of varied locations I've lived in has allowed me to expand my photography much more than if I had remained in Pennsylvania. After 16 years, the Air Force was offering early outs to downsize the force. I applied for one and came home. It was time.
Photography has been my passion since I was 15 years old. I developed my website in order to share that passion with others. I've always tried to show beauty in my photographs, both the beauty found in nature and the beauty found in people. I hope that you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed making them.
