I was born in 1961 in Modena, a small town in Northern Italy where I currently live, although I am frequently travelling abroad both for work and leisure. I discovered photography as a serious hobby pretty late in 1990 and continued with some pauses until today. The digital “revolution” meant for me a second birth of my interest for photography, and here I am. Favourite subjects are portraits and the nude.
Photographing people and the interaction, even for just the time of the shooting, with the life of my subjects is for me one of the most rewarding aspects of the whole “game”. Nevertheless, a breathtaking landscape, an intriguing situation captured by chance in a street or a stunning wildlife scene won’t be missed if Ihave a camera in my hands. In black and white or in colour, in studio or on location, with or without digital finishing, I will give photography a chance.
I will never understand photographers keeping an hostile behaviour towards fellow photographers just “guilty” to their eyes of having different tastes. Having a 360° degrees view and the maximum tolerance toward other people’s work, is a crucial point in my life and not only in photography. I like to learn from other what to do and especially what not to do… I take this opportunity to thank all the models, whose cooperation and patience allowed me to take good pictures and learn.
