Driven by Passion
Photography has been my passion for over 15 years now, but I only started shooting models about a year and a half ago. That’s when I set up my first studio. Before that it was mostly nature, news, sports and travel photography. It was tough finding models at first, but as my work improved and portfolio grew, more and more models started contacting me (instead of the other way around).
My day job gives me lots of exposure to art of all types (art gallery and picture framing business) and my studio is set up in our gallery on weekends. I also love on-location shooting and have access to some great places like abandoned apartment buildings, back alleyways and even tunnels to shoot in.
My goal is to make a woman look as beautiful as possible… by using the most flattering poses and lighting as well as by proper glamour editing done in post-processing. A blemish is a temporary thing in a woman’s life… why should it be immortalized in a photo?
Nowadays I don’t work with just anyone who knocks on my door… I look for people with the same passion - who want to create moving images. If the vibes aren’t right, we don’t work together. When shooting, I loose track of time and there are always more ideas and things to try than there is time. I’m high-energy during a shoot and love it when the model is the same and can get excited about the results we’re getting. It’s all about the passion!
