LUIS DURANTE

 

"I was born in Soria, the most romantic place of Spain (legends of Becquer), in 1955. I spent most of my childhood in Madrid, where I spent a great deal of time drawing and painting. I went to School in Madrid.
When I was seventeen years old I lived in a Hippie community; playing free theatre and street performance in Spain and England, then I left the community and I went to Paris and there I studied Photography (I was 23years old). Four years after I returned to Spain and I worked sporadically in Publicity, some time later I published my first book in Erotic Print society (EPS) in the UK.

My favorite things:
-Painting.
-Symbolism: (Felecien Rocs, Gustav Klint, Schiele, Munch)
-Surrealism: (Magritte, Dali)
-Modern: (Giger, Helnwein)
-Photographers: Jan Saudek, Gunter Blum, Gilles Berquet.
-Cinema: "Johnny got his gun", "Easy raider", "Alien", "Blade runner" "Dracula".
-Music: Bauhaus, Tool, Tricky, Haendel...
-Writers-Baudelaire, Becquer, Safo, Stoker; Poe, Byron"
