Born in 1954 in Warburg, Germany, my interest in photography started already in my youth which led into an education in the photographic business. After several jobs in sales and administration I changed into Photography Journalism working for the two German photography magazines PHOTOGRAPHY and FOTOHEFT. In 1992 I wrote the book "Infrarot - Fotografie auf anderer Wellenlänge" (infrared - photography on a different wavelength) illustrated with my own photographs which was published by Verlag PHOTOGRAPHIE and which received the Kodak Book Award. In 1993 I started my own magazine PHOTO Deal devoted to classic cameras, Photographica collecting and photo historic themes, the range of which was increased by the two well reputed catalogues (Kadlubek's Kamera-Katalogue and Kadlubek's Objektiv-Katalog as well as the history of Agfa Company. My latest project is FINE ART FOTO magazine, a magazine devoted entirely to fine art photography (www.fineartfotomagazin.de) a sophisticated, superbly printed magazine with a clear, unfussy layout and an excellent paper quality. This fine publication for the demanding photographer has just published an English language edition with the title FINE ART PHOTO (www.fineartphotomagazine.com)
My own work concentrates mainly on b/w infrared nudes as well as hand-coloring, often in combination with each other.
